As far as hardware goes, the Flyer is definitely a bit on the heavy side when compared to my cousin's iPad. He complained about it, but it's not like you really notice how heavy it is when you use the device. Plus, the Flyer's screen is a lot smaller so I find it less awkward to hold with one hand. The heftiness actually makes the device feel more sturdy than the iPad. It's not that elegant, but more of a rugged device. Manly, if you will. Since it's only ~7", I can actually fit it in most of my pockets, something that you can't do with an iPad, so I think on that front it is more of a portable device. The Flyer also comes with a really nice case.

Like I said, the screen is smaller than that of the iPad, but larger than that of a phone. I think it strikes a good balance between being too large and too small. Web browsing on it is fantastic and it has flash support, unlike one of its competitors. ;) Unlike the cramped keyboard on my phone, typing on the Flyer is nice and easy with plenty of room. The tablet's autocorrect also seems to be smarter than on my Atrix, but I could be making that up. The Flyer is almost small enough that you can use it like you would a smartphone, but not quite. It's just a little too bulky.

The screen is really nice at 1024x600 resolution and great for watching movies. It's a lot brighter than my MacBook's screen and it's even pretty usable (gasp!) outside! The battery life is definitely a champ. One day my whole family was using it (HEAVY usage) and it easily lasted the whole day. Most days I can go about two or three days of regular use before I need to recharge it. You can even schedule it to sleep at set hours of the day to conserve even more battery life, so I have it set up to turn off the WiFi and stuff while I'm sleeping.

Altogether, I'm pretty happy with my Flyer, but there are a couple downside. The speakers, for example, are not very good, so you should definitely invest in a good pair of speakers. While I think the small(er) screen is an advantage, it might be a deal breaker for some folks. Also, the Android app store is pretty lacking when it comes to apps for tablets, and some apps don't use the entire screen, which is kind of annoying. The camera is also pretty bad, but the UI is definitely better than the other devices that I compared it to at Best Buy. The magic pen thing is also kind of cool, but I don't really use it that much."

    I am writing this review in the Acer Iconia Tab A500 now. I was trying to decide between a Ipad2 (and actually bought one), a converter from Asus and the Acer Iconia Tab A500. I was frustrated by the limitations of IPAD 2, and once it became clear that Asus would not have a stock processor enough of weeks, I decided to give the Acer Iconia Tab A500 a try. No remorse, and ended up returning the Ipad2.

Why the Acer Iconia Tab A500 better than an Ipad 2 ?


 - Micro SD card slot that gives you all the memory you need is a model with about 16 GB cards are cheap - you can get a 32 GB for $ 50. No card reader on the sidewalk I 2.

- The USB port allows for easy transfer of files. You can connect flash drives or USB keyboard. Yes, it has a USB host so you can power the device or the load of the door. 2 I have no USB keyboard without having to buy an adapter for $ 30.

-Port HDMI - projection easily to your HDTV. The A500 screen is approximately the same proportions as the majority of the HDTV, in order to be able to take full advantage of the region on an HDTV. With Ipad2, you need a separate $ 39 for this, plus the IPAD 2 is a different aspect ratio of most screen HDTV.

-Android-honeycomb is much better than Apple IOS. Is much more diverse and a true multitasking system. Yes, the IOS interface more simple and stupid that your grandmother can use, but for me it is too simple and limited. Furthermore, honeycomb was not chained to use iTunes to manage their content. You can simply connect to the USB port of your PC and manage the files as you would any external hard drive.

-If you use Google applications like Gmail, Picasa, Google Docs, Maps, YouTube, etc, integration is excellent. Login with Gmail and Google all data is synchronized with the device in minutes.

    I do not think that criticism of the lack of applications for honeycomb or frequent accidents. I had almost no questions in a week of use. Most applications for Android smartphones I've tried to work well and there are over 65,000 of them now.

    The Android Market is the market better than Apple, because there are many other applications.

    Because USB is a better value than the processor also has no USB port, without the base separately.

"I own the iPad 1. I like it. I don't love it. The apps are great. But it is large and cumbersome. It doesn't really multi-task. And I hate the way it handles email. I use a Blackberry Torch phone. I love the way it handles email. And the apps are very good. Fewer. But very good.

So it was with some trepidation and excitement I bought the Blackberry Playbook. The trepidation was because of the advanced reviews which universally panned it. I looked at it, held it, and bought it. And I will tell you it is one piece of stunning equipment.

The build is much better than the iPad. In fact it is extraordinary. The screen is absolutely stunning. The machine loads the applications fast but NOT as fast as you see on the commercials. The browser blows the iPad Safari browser out of the water. It is very fast and of course has Flash. The camera front and back are very good.

But do you know what makes this tablet? The OS. It is extraordinary. You bring out Apps with a touch. You scroll through open apps by beginning at the left or right bezel and swiping toward the center. The context menus are opened by swiping down when the application is open. See a subtle alert in the top left hand corner, swipe diagonally from the the bezel to the center and viola there is a notification of your email. To wake it up swipe from the top bezel to the bottom. No more clicking a darn button. Thank you Blackberry. That alone was genius.

As I said I carry a Blackberry so through the Blackberry Bridge it tethers to my Torch. Emails and files. Everything, except the apps (different OS of course) is available on my Playbook. And I don't have to add on a data plan for 3G. A 3G phone Playbook is coming out in the summer they say for those who do not carry Blackberry phones.

I am waiting for the following apps - Dropbox (although I can transfer files in and out via the web), a free hand note taker and a better PDF program or a more beefy Adobe Reader app. And I am sure they will come.

Now to the reviews: They claimed the OS was not finished. Not true. They claimed multiple shutdowns and freezes. Not true. They poo-poo'd tethering through Blackberry Bridge. OK I am saving myself $30 a month up here in Canada or $360 a year in not having a 3G capability under a separate plan. And the tethering is flawless for both email and web surfing since the Playbook comes with a Bridge Browser that uses your phones' plan. So a person saves $360 a year and it gets criticized? Unbelievable! The apps. Yes there are fewer but there are new ones appearing everyday and they are above average and to my mind are as good as or better than the iPad. The negative reviews are baffling; truly, truly baffling.

I couldn't wait to get the iPad. I was enchanted. With the new iPad 2 I wasn't enchanted. In fact it is anything but.

The Blackberry Playbook on the other hand is simply astounding. I throw it in my briefcase. And away I go. I pull it out at a meeting or airport and it is understated and private. Will it take its rightful place in the tablet market? Not if jingoistic reviewers have their way. But it should. It should if build, function, cost effectiveness, reliability, and fun mean anything to anybody. "

    I searched for a good tablet and compare the many days for the price and capacity. The Coby KYROS MID7024-4G 7-Inch Touchscreen Tablet  is not cheap, it's theft. One of the most important things is that this tablet is one of the cheaper brands from China that I bought before I found out most people who have problems at hand. 

    I promised to buy something you can call and ask for help or making it back to extremists. The second best part of Coby KYROS MID7024-4G 7 is the 1 GHz processor, 512 MB ​​of RAM 2.2 Android operating system and the ability to get the flash player on it.  

    What this means (for those who do not care much about the specifications of the computer) you can see almost all videos from YouTube, Hulu, ESPN Deportes, flash player games online, read books, PDF files, Word, Excel , PowerPoint and many other applications without delay or what ever other economic problems are compressed.  

    Moreover, very few tablets for the price is 4G capabilities. The Coby KYROS MID7024-4G 7 comes with WiFi, 1080p video output, an HDMI port for connection to HDTVs, desktop or laptop or whatever.  

    Memory expansion up to 32 concerts, I mean, look how many fans of Apple iPad pay just to jump from 16gigs to 32gigs. As the applications and games for the tablets are Coby Kyros (tm) AppsLib market, which has no glasses android applications, many people find this a limit. 

    However, it is possible to eradicate Coby KYROS MID7024-4G 7 and use the Google Android applications without any problem. I just need a bit of self twiki found throughout Youtube.

ThinkPad notebooks have long been staples in the business world, first under IBM and in recent years under Lenovo of China. So you take notice when a ThinkPad promises flirty features that would typically appeal to a mainstream user, including a souped-up Dolby audio system, backlit liquid-resistant keyboard and a low-light-sensitive, high-definition webcam. Those are among the selling points in the ThinkPad X1 ultraportable that went on sale this week.

The new ThinkPad X1 measures just 17mm thick and comes with a choice of Intel's standard-voltage, second-generation Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, which the company said are normally reserved for its 14 and 15-inch laptops.
